Parent View:
Hag was desperate to watch Les Miserables after seeing the incredible performance at the Oscars. I was a little in two minds about letting him watch it as some of the content isn’t really for Kidz (Rated 12A at the cinema, BBFC 12 on Home entertainment) – but the great thing about DVD and Blu-Ray is that you can skip any bits that are a little inappropriate and explain in a little more child friendly way what they missed. One of those moments being the scene when Anne Hathaway’s lead to the boat in the dock where she ‘works’.
Hag did enjoy the movie – but he did need constant commentary throughout to follow the story. He felt a bit guilty giving the movie what he sees as a low score (4 Stars) as he knows its a really good movie. He said its not really for Kidz – I think I’ll like it even m ore when I’m an adult.
