David Soren Q & A with Alex Zane – Dad’s Questions!!!
Dad – How would you describe Turbo to parents? It would be too easy to say its like Cars and Cars 2 as its very unique. Weirdly enough I was watching and its kind of more like the Muppet’s than it was those type of movies. Its bonkers, its absolutely bonkers – how would you describe it?
David – (Laughs) I’d describe it as an underdog movie. i don’t think of it for Kidz or for adults – to me its a story about dreamers, not about realists. My favourite aspect in the movie is that there’s this dual brother relationship when a snail meets a Taco salesman (Laughter in the audience). They are dreamers and they both have these brothers that think they are foolish and everyone out there from a kid to an adult has dreams, whether they are fulfilled or unfulfilled. As a result I think it universally believable.
Dad – I was just wondering, of course we have ‘EPIC’ which has some snail Hero’s and now we have you with ‘Turbo’. I was just wonder if in our subconscious we have this thing boiling over to save the snail from the French and maybe make them the new dog of something. Are you going to lead a movement to save the snail?

David – (Laughs) I will be the reluctant leader I suppose if that’s the case (laughs)
