We are very lucky to have the Playstation 4 a week before release and the boys were incredibly excited telling all their mates how lucky they are – their friend’s excepting instantly that its a must own toy/gadget. Kidz truly are the greatest ‘Early adopters’.
This review is a review of two half’s (As we did with the launch of the Wii U last year). Its very hard to say if a games consoles the ‘Greatest Console ever’ in just one week and especially when a product is reliant on free regular updates to further enhance its capability over the coming years – rumoured Updates being PS3 game play, 3D access, free games etc etc etc……
In the first week both Hag and Con have really taken to the new games only available on PS4 – Knack getting constant playtime as well as Con (age 6) and Bex (age 2) loving the Play Room interactive robots.
As for me – I’m really really enjoying Call of Duty:Ghost, BattleField 4, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag and Need for Speed Rivals, Music Unlimited has completely changed my working environment in the day and the idea of wannabe TV presenters through ‘Live from Playstion’ really excites me from a Media point of view. I have a feeling a few reality stars will be born on the back of Playstation 4.
At this stage I see a blank canvas of immense technology and interactivity with the PS4. It will be worth checking the ‘Parent Control sections’ on the devise as you may not want to give your Kidz too much access – especially with the live feeds as sometimes the language can be a bit fruity.
Overall this feels like a box of future delights and we the audience can control its destiny – and of course it plays really good games in glorious HD!!! (Full ‘A Month in the House’ review in 3 weeks)
