If you woke up one morning with superhuman strength like Hercules – what would the first thing be you’d pick up? (Hag age 9)
John Hurt – My God…what do you think? (Laughs)
Reece Ritchie – You can’t ask Dwayne Johnson that. He’s got super powers!
Dwayne Johnson – (Laughs)
Brett Ratner – What would I pick up? It would be Irina Shayk.
Dwayne Johnson – I’ve grown up loving and admiring Hercules. You know there’s that iconic moment when Hercules breaks his chains from the pillars and screams ‘I am Hercules’ – for me as a kid that was always a mesmerising moment. I remember having a poster of Steve Reeves in the old days when they were painted at that time.
So I was always inspired by it – Hercules was the very first movie that I inquired about when I first went to Hollywood in 99 or 2000. At that time I didn’t have the ability to green light anything and it came around again and I’m very grateful. Very great flu for the role and to have a Director on board and certainly these actors.
Edith Bowman – So you now have the Hercules power in Hollywood now you’re saying?
Dwayne Johnson – I do!!
