This is a bonkers movie – imagine Lord of the Rings shortened to 87 minutes with ants and a lady bird. There’s a very Aardman feel about the story telling and characters and its beautifully animated. Hag (11) and Con (9) enjoyed it for about 20 minutes as it does play quite young. Bex (4) really enjoyed the movie although she did get a bit restless in places – its probably a little longer than it needs to be for the pre-/early school audience that its targeted at (60/70’s minutes would have been perfect). That said it is really good fun movie and lovely to watch. Fun for little ones!!!
