Brave feels much older in its targeting to the normal Disney/Pixar film. Fan’s of ‘Studio Ghibli’ and ‘Manga’ anime films are likely to really enjoy the direction the film makers have taken with this new movie. There are some scary moments with the ‘Large Black Bears’ that some younger Kidz may struggle with – so I would suggest taking a blanket for them to hide under rather than stopping them altogether from seeing the movie.
Much like ‘Tangled’ – this is a film with a female lead character that both boys and girls will enjoy.
3D Blu-Ray Review:
Disney always pride themselves on good quality 3D product and Brave delivers the normal High standard as seen at cinema’s. Stand out 3D Moment: Chasing the ‘Willow the Wisp’, Moments of archery and any long angle shots of the Scottish Highlands. Just beautiful use of 3D to show Scotland’s scenic landscapes.
