There was a certain degree of self consciousness that you have to get over which is when you first have the trousers on. You’d stand with your back to the wall because you feel exposed – but then that exposing the front so you turn around and now your at the front of the wall and your backs exposed.

But luckily all the guys were in the same boat together – so we all felt as silly as each other. And actually once you get on the set those costumes madly feel really masculine and they fit in with these beautiful sets that Dente made and you kind of feel regal in it and it actually gives you confidence to get over the initial embarrassment.

Well the Stepmother’s kind of the leader of the pack and the two daughters sort of follow her in a way. So the two sisters just want to do anything to please Mum. But actually in my defense – Anastasia didn’t actually rip the dress.
