If Aliens exist do you think they’d like human food and what would they like best? Con age 6
I’m gonna go with Yes. I think they would like the food and..Hey…I’m with you…I really do think aliens exist, but we’re aliens to them aren’t we?
Come see Escape to planet Earth and all will be explained. There’s a great food fight scene in it and there’s alien food…and there’s a food fight scene and it doesn’t look like anything thing any human would want.
I guess I’d have to say they’d be willing to true new cuisine. When I travel to new places I like to get to know it by….through my stomach.
Do you believe that the government are hiding aliens? Hag age 9
Do I believe that? I want to say no……..but….I think that’s just what I’ve been told…and I do really believe they do (Laughs)
I did a film a while back called Loony Toons back in Action. And…AREA 52…not AREA 51 was where the aliens REALLY were. So I think I got about as close to the source of…if or not that’s true…as one can. I put it down to a job benefit that I get to know if aliens are really out there. All the ones I’ve met are really very very nice.
So between Mummy’s and aliens you’ve seen it all?
(Laughs) I can’t vouch for the kindness of the Mummy’s though…they just won’t go away…STOP!!
Do you think your character was scared and sad when he got captured? Con age 6
YES…I think he was. But I think he was being brave..Because as the person Scorch Supernova…he is a bit shall we say over confident? And when he was captured what scared him most was that he did not have his brother to rely on like he automatically used to. They’d had a falling out….so that’s what scared him most. In so far as him being in the Locker, in the clink, in the jail…….he was just snoring and really just letting that one go in his stride. They woke him up and he had cucumber tips in his eyes and that I think.
I think he was scared because he didn’t have his brother to rely on. That frightened him.
What’s was the first thing you thought when you watched Escape from planet Earth? Hag age 9
The first thing I thought…was………I’m glad I’m in this movie. Because I’ve got bragging rights now..(Laughs)…so….I can up my own profile with my Kidz. (Laughs) It made me laugh….Big reason why I wanted to do it. What can I say – not everything I’ve worked on is appropriate for my Kidz at this time. But this is something I think is appropriate for everybody.
Do you know the film the gets the play in my house – George of the Jungle. That is an Absolute Kidz classic!!
Wow…I can‘t tell you the number of people who have told me that. In the thousands.
And sometimes they follow it up with…hey..Great film…but I have a bone to pick with you. My kid has a scar from playing George of the Jungle by smashing into a tree. I’m like don’t do that…it was a rubber tree.
Is there anything you would add if you were the Director of Escape from Planet Earth? Hag age 9
Anything I would add? …oooh..Err…I would add…I would add…well..er..I think…this is just me..We need a really big explosion. Something’s got to blow up. Go boom…like the Death Star.
We have a lot of really good small ones. There all kinds of dynamic sequences. I don’t think we have a ‘We gotta get outta here!’ (Makes an explosion sound). I don’t think it was in the budget.
What’s your favourite film you’ve ever made? I like George of the Jungle? Con age 6
Alright…favourite film I’ve ever made? Do you know what ‘George’ was a really happy time in my life and it made a lot people very very happy. A lot of Kidz, a lot of Mum’s and Dad’s and what can I say?
I’m just glad I was a part of it. Because when you make movies…..They tend to stick around. If you want to you can go and watch Charlie Chaplin do something really funny. And that was a long time ago – but it’s still there. And still funny!
