Hag and Con talk to the stars of A Christmas Star!!!
What does it feel like to be in a movie? Con age 8
–
John Moan (Junior) – It was a really exciting experience. Learning about film industry in reality was amazing just being on set and being part of it was great
James Stockdale (Spud Bob) – feels amazing. I have dreamed of this all my life so its a really big deal. Its pretty awesome seeing myself on the big screen. Cant wait for the next one !
Aoife Hughes (Cuckoo) – Its like a dream I haven’t woken up from yet. At the premiere we took our red Christmas star wrist bands and tied them together. Its like a bond that’s unbreakable like the friendships we formed during the whole process. The best thing was the amazing people I met along the way, We are like family.
Amy Dunne (Cutie Pie) – It is a tiny bit overwhelming but its really amazing for me really.
What was it like hearing that you would turn on the Christmas lights in Belfast? Hag age 11
James Stockdale (Spud Bob) – I was so excited. It was strange in that although it was our first night of filming it was actually the end scene of the film. It was a ll a bit back to front.
Aoife Hughes (Cuckoo) – I Couldn’t wait for it to happen. It was the best ever as I had never been in the city hall. There we were rehearsing in that marble grandeur and fabulous historic building. What atmosphere – I loved being taken through crowd security and felt so important like a real celebrity.
Amy Dunne (Cutie Pie) – being there in front of 12000 people was unreal. So exciting and fabulous.
What is the first Christmas present you remember getting and why did you like it? Hag age 11
John Moan (Junior) – A bike – that has got to be the best present getting a new shiny bike on Christmas day
Alecoe Haughey (Bernadette) – you wont believe this but the only present that really stands out is a snow globe bought for me by a family friend Mary O Donnell. I have always been fascinated by snow globes. I love to watch the little flakes. That globe had a little Santa and I always tried to get the wee flakes to land in his basket. It must have been a sign of things to come, I must have gazed at that globe for hours. And then it was a major part of a film that changed my life.
Amy Dunne (Cutie Pie) – I remember getting a little plastic desk with all different colours of pens and pencils and papers. I loved it. I still love this type of thing now.-

Aoife Hughes (Cuckoo) – It has to be Annie – I know its not strictly a Christmas movie but IU have lovely warm memories of Christmas holidays of me and my sisters cuddled up and singing and performing all the songs from the film and performing all the roles. I just love musicals and this has been played so many times in our home.
If you could be born on any holiday/event day that’s not Xmas day – which one would you pick and why? Hag age 11
