Parent View:
Film Distributors E1 are fast becoming very reliable in their Kidz film offerings with movies such as Horrid Henry (Hag’s Film of 2011) and Gnomeo and Juliet – ‘A Monster In Paris’ is of the same quality. This is a film of two halves – with the first being a Kidz horror and the second an Adventure, Musical, Comedy.

There’s something very Aardman in its styling – if the creative team behind Wallace and Gromit were to make a kidz movie homage to ‘Hammer Horror’ and ‘Moulin Rouge’. Theatrically I recommended that youngsters who scare easily only watch the 2D version (Con actually screamed out loud at one point – this wouldn’t have happened in 2D). On the small screen the impact of the horror and intensity isn’t so bad – although I wouldn’t advice watching this film at settle down time.

3D Blu-Ray review:
Exactly the same high quality 3D as seen at the cinema. Full of incredible scenic shots of Paris and objects appearing from the screen.
