Hag and Con really loved the new movie from the makers of Ice Age age and Rio – its exactly their type of film. Star Wars with Birds and bugs or maybe Tangled meets Star Wars without the songs.
I still think ‘Rise of the Guardians’ was one of the best Kidz films of last year and this is similar in style only with a far more ‘family friendly’ title – EPIC!!.
With Ollie – part of me wonders if he should have seen the movie first time either on the cinema screen, in 3D or large TV screen. I can’t help think the ‘Epic’ scale of the film was missed on an iPad for a first viewing.
3D Blu-Ray review:
I strongly believe the best 3D Blu-Rays are those with either fish or Birds. This films full of Birds, Arrows and the colours are just beautiful. Stand out 3D Moments: The Queen arriving on the Lilly pad lake, Bird race, Ozzy the Dog chasing through the house and the finale flying battle at night with the bugs. Exceptional 3D, ‘Epic’ stuff and Highly Recommended!!!
