Disney Channel – Hag, Con & Bex talk Band with Bizaardvark’s Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Hu!!!
Where were you and who was the first person you told when you found out you had the part in Bizaardvark? Hag age 12
Olivia Rodrigo – I was on vacation actually which was perfect as I was relaxing by the beach. But my mum actually got the call so she found out first, and then she told me straight after. So I guess the first people I told were my family, and then my friends who were all so excited for me.
Madison Hu – It was a coincidence because I was actually at Disneyland when I found out that I got the role. I was in line for a rollercoaster and my mum text me and told me that I got the role for Frankie. I was freaking out. I was with my best friend at the time so she was the first person that I told… And some strangers in the line who over heard and congratulated me!
What’s your favourite song ever? Bex age 5
Olivia Rodrigo – My favourite song ever is probably – I’m obsessed with Lorde so maybe White Teeth Teens by Lorde. I listen to it on repeat, I love that song!
Madison Hu – Oh my favourite song ever? I really like The Beatles so I’d say probably one of their songs like Hey Jude and Blackbird. Blackbird was actually the first song that I learnt on guitar so it has a special place in my heart.
What’s the hardest thing about filming so many episodes at once? Con age 9
Olivia Rodrigo – I mean it was definitely a challenge but it was super fun. It was a lot of hard work, we would work 9 and a half hour days in a week and sometimes you got a little tired, but I think it was so important that we helped each other and lifted each other up. I also learnt a lot while filming so I’m just really thankful that I got to work that hard at something that I love to do.
Madison Hu – I’d say it’s kind of similar to school; it’s just the same routine every week. The first couple of weeks were a little bit weird to get into just because I’d never really done anything like it before. I was quite scared at first too, but once you get into the schedules and routine it gets a lot easier.
What song do you like best from the show and why? Bex age 5
Olivia Rodrigo – I think my favourite song is probably the Comeback song because that was the first time that we got to record and it was just a great experience as it was all really new and exciting for us. We got to incorporate that into the song which made it really energetic. I’ll always love that one as its super relatable to me as I never have good comebacks so I could put my own experiences into the song.
Madison Hu – Probably the first song which was the Comeback song. That was really cool and fun to film. I enjoyed filming that a lot.
What instruments can you play and what was the first one you learnt? Hag age 12
Olivia Rodrigo – I can play guitar and piano. I learnt piano first. I’m not outstanding at either of them but I love to play and find it really enjoyable!
Madison Hu – The first instrument that I learnt was technically the recorder in third year and then in fourth year I picked up the clarinet, but I don’t play either any more I think I played for about two years. However, right now I play the piano and the guitar, I really enjoy them, they’re a lot of fun.
If you could star in any Disney Channel TV show what show would it be and what character would you play? Con age 9
Olivia Rodrigo – I would probably like to on Girl Meets World because I love that show and I feel like it’s really fun to watch. They actually film right next to us so it wouldn’t be much of a trek.
I would probably want to be one of Riley or Maya’s friends just to get in on the action and fun!
