Disney Pixar Coco review by Con

Parent View:
This is a beautiful story and like many of the classic Pixar films – Mums and Dads are guaranteed to cry. Alas it plays better to parents than it does kidz. Both Con and Bex loved Coco – but they’re a bit different to the average kidz as they’re at screenings once or twice a week and have been going to the cinema since pretty much birth. Occasionally Pixar forget to ‘sugar coat’ the deeper moments in their movies and younger Kidz get distracted. Coco is one of those films. It’s been a while since I’ve seen so many kidz aged between three and six so disconnected from a movie in the audience – the last time being the screening for ‘Inside Out’ which I said exactly the same thing. This is a fantastic film – but I would suggest younger kidz watch it on home ent when its released so they can walk in and out of the ‘deeper’ moments of the story. Perfect for Kidz aged eight upwards and parents will think its the best Kidz film ever. Like Inside Out – its really a kidz film for Adults (I thought The Good Dinosaur was the better kidz film out of the two Pixar releases that year – and I’ve been proved right as kidz watch that ‘The Good Dinosaur’ all the time and not ‘Inside Out’).
