Marvel Universe Live – Hag & Con talk to Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron-Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye & Thor!!!
Tea or Coffee and why? Con age 8
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – I personally don’t like to drink coffee so I’m going to have to go with tea. Tea tastes a lot better than coffee, and for me I tend to get sleepy after I’m hyped off of the caffeine.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Both – Coffee because I like the kick in the morning, but tea at night.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – I don’t drink tea nor coffee, water for me!
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – Definitely tea! Caffeine makes me bounce off the walls a little too much and tea comes in so many different flavors. I drink tea every morning.
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – I personally prefer either Moroccan Mint tea because of bow refreshing it is, or Scottish blend black teas with a little bit of milk and sugar because of how calming they can be.
Thor (David Mussleman) – Since I was sixteen it’s been coffee all the way. People say it’s an acquired taste, but I’ve always loved the smell. Now, it has become my life blood.
Are you planning to go sightseeing when you come to the UK and what are you most looking forward to seeing? Hag age 11
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – Yes, I am most definitely going sightseeing in the UK, and even bought a go pro just for the UK tour. I will be taking lots of photos.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Yes, I definitely plan to see everything I can. I am most looking forward to southern Italy and Greece–I want to swim in the Sea there.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – Marvel Universe LIVE! is my first acting show, I’ve had to learn a lot of new skills while getting to work on my riding.
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – I am going sightseeing as much as possible! I would love to go to the London Eye and do a handstand at the top. That is kind of my signature thing, to do handstands near famous monuments or cool scenery in every city.
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – Yes. I look forward to traveling back to my old hometowns which I used to live in and visit in Scotland, such as Dundee, Alloa and Edinburgh.
Thor (David Mussleman) – I’m definitely planning on doing some sightseeing in the UK. I can’t pick anything particular I’d most like to see, but I’ll be up for suggestions of places to see and things to do from the locals.
Have you ever acted in a live show before and if yes what’s the difference between this show and the Marvel Universe Live Show? Con age 8
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – Marvel Universe Live is my first live show I have been in, and it has been a wonderful experience.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Yes I have performed in many other shows. The main difference is Marvel Universe LIVE! has so many more cues because it is a very complex show with a huge cast with a lot of flying, lasers, and choreo. There is always something going on for you to see!
Captain America (Phil Smage) – Peter Parker because to me skateboards are scary and his entrance is one to watch out for.
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – I have done live stunt shows for theme parks in Orlando previous to Marvel Universe LIVE!, however this show is way more action packed in every way. More pyro, more fights, more stunts, more characters, longer storyline, basically any show that I’ve ever done times 100!
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – No, this is my first professional acting gig and it is a ton of fun.
Thor (David Mussleman) – I have acted in several live shows before Marvel Universe LIVE!, most of them were musicals, so I can tell you this; there is no singing and dancing in Marvel Universe LIVE. Since it is an arena show, it’s also a much larger scale, with lots of effects, pyrotechnics, motorcycles, 3D projection, and many other aspects that make it an amazing, one of a king spectacle.
Who do you think does the hardest stunt in the Marvel Universe Live show and why? Hag age 11
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – I feel like Captain America and Red skull have the hardest stunt in the whole show because of all of the stunts that they do on their bikes, especially the 19-foot vertical jump.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Captian America and Red Skull have very difficult motorcycle stunts, but our motorcycle riders are all highly trained professionals – I love watching them in action.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – Wolverine and Bruce Banner because they ride motorcycles too.
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – I think the Hulk is the hardest stunt because it takes a crazy amount of strength, balance, training and agility to be able to maneuver such a massive costume on stilts.
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – Honestly I think that there are many technically difficult stunts within the show such as high-falls or rappels and even the fighting when enduring throughout an entire scene can be taxing on our performers. Luckily, we are all trained professionals, so don’t try this at home 😉
Thor (David Mussleman) – I would have to go with Captain America and Red Skull in the Hydra Island scene in the second act. Both characters ride motorcycles and perform a ramp jump in the show that has actually set a Guinness record in a live show. And the do it every day.
If you could be best friends with two of the Marvel Super Heroes who would you choose and why? Con age 8
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – I would choose to be friends with the Hulk and Spider-Man. Spider-Man because he is my favorite superhero, and Hulk because no one would mess with us.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Wolverine and Spider-Man because I can relate to Spider-Man’s wit and charm and wolverine’s temper and passion.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – Wolverine so could I heal my wounds fast.
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – Black Widow because she is just as tough as the boys and Tony Stark because then I could play with all his awesome gadgets.
Hawkeye (Eric Foster) – I would be friends with Hawkeye and Thor because I find that I would enjoy spending time with Thor and his entourage
Thor (David Mussleman) – Spider-Man and Thor. Spider-Man just seems like a really cool kid, and who wouldn’t want to be friends with a God? Plus, they have some pretty great interactions in the show.
If you could have any of the Marvel Super Heroes Powers in real life who’s powers would you have and why? Hag age 11
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – I would want to have Spider-Man’s super powers because I love to climb buildings, and having his powers would be ideal for me to have.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Spider-Man because I love flipping around and telling jokes.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – Wolverine because he’s strong and partnered with Bruce Banner during the show.
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – Captain Marvel’s powers because I would love to be that strong, in destructive, and be able to fly!
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – I would have Nightcrawlers ability to teleport because I love traveling to different places in the world and experiencing different cultures.
Thor (David Mussleman) – I would love to have the powers of Spider-Man. Super strength, web slinging, wall crawling, agility, and a spidey sense? Who could ask for more.
If you had to battle The Hulk – which Marvel Super Hero would you be to control him and why? Con age 8
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – If I had to battle the Hulk I would be wolverine because he is the only superhero that could possibly defeat the hulk with his adamantium claws.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – I would choose Thor because his hammer is very powerful and so is his strength.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – Wolverine because he’s strong and partnered with Bruce Banner during the show.
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – That’s a tough question, the Hulk is a pretty big bad dude when he’s angry… I would have to say Black Widow because I could appeal to his more sensitive side to try and get him to calm down without possibly destroying a city in a big messy battle.
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – I would use Black Widow because I feel like the connection she has with the Hulk and Bruce Banner would aid her in the connection to help him mesmerize and calm him down with Hawkeye’s help of a heavy tranquilizer. Or I would just use Thor and Ironman to help bash the anger out of him which won’t exactly work but it will make for a great action scene.
Thor (David Mussleman) – Definitely Iron Man. He had the forethought to make a suit of armor, the Hulkbuster, specifically designed to battle the Hulk if the need should ever arise.
If you created your own Marvel Super Hero group like the Avengers – who would be in it and what would the group be called? Hag age 11
Spider-Man (Matt Daos) – If I had to create my own Marvel Super Hero group they would be called Hero squad. The Marvel characters that would be on this squad would be Spider-Man, Thor, Wolverine, Hulk, and Deadpool.
Iron Man (Antonio Jackson) – Deadpool, Blade, Punisher and Wolverine, and I would call in Anger Management.
Captain America (Phil Smage) – I would start a group with all of my bike-riding buddies and it would be called the Smagical Squad, for my last name Smage!
Black Widow/Black Cat (Taylor Hemmeter) – Black Widow and Dead Pool. I think the two of them would be such a strong and fun group! It would be called Black Pool.
Hawkeye (Joshua Davidson) – I would use Deadpool, Spider-Man, Blade, Venom, Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Angel. I would call them the Slash and Grabbers.
Thor (David Mussleman) – If I were to create a Marvel Super Hero team, it would be with covert ops in mind, so it would have to be characters that are capable of stealth. I would also want to incorporate a wide range of abilities so that the team could overcome any situation. I would have Ant-Man and Wasp, Venom suit Spiderman, Black Panther, Nightcrawler, Cloak, Warpath, Psylocke, Quicksilver, X-23, and Wolverine as the team leader. They would be called Team Hush.
