What an atmosphere! It was great being able to see such an amazing selection of cars in one spot. The races around the circuit were great to witness too. We struggled to find any of the Free children’s activities and when we asked no one could tell us where the Big Top was or were we could find Roary. We found some of the other children’s events but they are charged £5 for the day, which thought was expensive although it was for the day and children don’t always want to go just on one thing, so our children had to do without! So it may have been just us not looking in the right places although we did walk and walk from one side to the other.
The AA tent did offer the children some freebies and when we asked about Roary they only pointed us to the stage. The refreshment and food outlets were very expensive too but at least there were lots of toilets! The Roary show wasn’t on until 3.30pm and although the children enjoyed it, it was the only Roary event we saw all day. The weather was fantastic but on the Sunday we didn’t think the day was really tailored towards children but at least they can say they have been to Silverstone and not many can say that.
