The Amazing Spider-Man (Video game)

Review by Hag

(Con plays the game with the 3D switched off although the 3D for the game is very impressive)

Out now on Xbox 360, PS3 (Pegi 16), Wii, 3DS (Pegi 12) Hag 5 Stars/ Con 15 Stars out of 5

Parent View:
I played the ‘Pegi 16’ Xbox version of the game for about about an hour before letting Hag (7 Years old) play. It starts off with the tense feel of a ‘Resident Evil’ style game – but once you get past the initial set up for the story, its a pretty much a standard Spider-Man game. I was happy to take both Hag and Con to see the film and I see no difference between the film content and game content. I think the Pegi 16 rating is a little cautious – but although I don’t agree with the rating I appreciate why Pegi have given it a Pegi 16. It would certainly make the Distribution company, Pegi and parents lives easier if the producers and programers considered the target audience of a game and the effect a high Pegi rating has on the commercial side of gaming. (The Nintendo 3DS and Wii versions carry a lower ‘Pegi 12’ rating although I still think thats a little high too)
