Easily the best book to film franchise since the Harry Potter series. Its gritty and very exciting from start to finish. Some of the content may be a little intense for many under 12 year olds – but if you feel your kidz are mature enough to handle the content (Like my Hag) they will love the series, Highly Recommended!!!
3D Blu-Ray Review:
This Hunger Games 3D reminds me of the final Harry Potter films released in 3D. It’s good quality 3D and as a fan I would buy it on the 3D Blu-Ray format and want to own it as part of my collection – but the movie doesn’t necessarily feel like it was originally Directed to be a 3D film. The scale of the devastated landscape shots do look that much better in 3D – but there are very few stand out moment where you feel the Director filmed it thinking I want this to jump out of the screen at the audience. That said its a must own for any Hunger Games Fan. The Tar river trap and underground creatures scenes are really effective in 3D.
Stand out 3D moments – Katniss first march into the Capitol (Ruin landscapes), booby traps, Black Tar trap and underground creatures.
