Warcraft The Beginning (2D/3D) Review by Hag and Con
Out on DVD, Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray and Digital Download 10/10/16 (12) Hag 4 Stars/ Con 3.5 Stars
Parent View:
We’ve changed our opinion on this movie quite drastically. The first time me and Con went to see it we found it very confusing as neither of us had ever played the game and its clearly made for the die hard fans. That said on a second view it makes so much more sense and Hag seemed to follow the story far better than us on his first view.
Warcraft is rated 12 (12A at the cinema) and the fantasy violence is very mild (PG mild in my opinion) – if you took your Kidz to see Star Wars you’ll be happy for them to see Warcraft. Also it looks beautiful, the 3D is brilliant and there is a wonderful cast. Warcraft is action packed and beautiful to watch – A must see for for fans of the game.
3D Blu-Ray Review:
This is easily one of the best 3D Blu-Rays of 2016. The depth and colour of the landscapes are just beautiful in 3D and everything from Doom Hammers to swirly green/blue magical laser effects appear from the screen. If you collect 3D Blu-Ray’s – this is a must own for the collection.
Stand out 3D Moments – Its really hard to pick stand out moments from this movie as the 3D FX’s are constant throughout and amazing. At a push I’d pick the Griffin flying over the city, Orc V Human’s battle in the forest, Orc V Human’s battle in the canyon, Orc Leadership fight, Finale fight for the portal and the Magic hand. (Basically all the fights scenes between the Orc’s and Humans)
