I love the product the company Character produce – they are so innovative in their ideas. Sometimes that means they don’t quite work as you wish – but if every company played it safe would we have the wheel or the Internet. That said they’ve been creating the Character Building sets for some time now and in the past I’ve ignored that the parts don’t quite fit together as well as other building products on the market. The Honeymoon periods got to be over now unfortunately.
The Dalek Spaceship is a cracking Doctor Who toy, beautifully crafted and with loads of after play for Doctor Who fans – but only if you use Super Glue to stabilise the structure. Without Super Glue, the toy constantly falls apart during building and is destined to spend life as a pile of bricks after the first play by Kidz.
I’m not saying stay away from this product – quite the contrary. Both Hag and Con love this toy, but neither were able to build it and Hag’s able to build sets much older than his age. Come on Character – time to concentrate more on the building process and making sure the products are structurally stable. That said its really nice looking when built.
