Khumba is a beautiful looking movie and just made me crave going back to Africa. Full of wonderful characters and some cracking tunes – Kidz into films like the Lion King and Ice Age will really enjoy this movie!!!
3D Blu-Ray review:
Khumba has some beautifully animated 3D landscape shots of Africa. The effects tend to be quite subtle throughout choosing to emphasis the vastness of the plains African with depth rather than having objects constantly jumping from the screen. I’m particularly fond of the evening shots as I’ve never seen 3D be so effective at night time.
Stand out 3D moments – Phango’s smell senses, searching for Khumba at night, Khumba passing out in the desert, Phango’s chasing Khumba through the caves and finale fight on the water fall.
