All versions of the Blu-ray and DVD carry an insightful bonus feature focusing on the origins of John Carter by Edgar Rice Burroughs and its influence on legendary filmmakers James Cameron and George Lucas, when developing their seminal works ‘Avatar’ and ‘Star Wars’ respectively.
