GIANT KRE-O OPTIMUS PRIME INVADES THE SCIENCE MUSEUM

Visitors to the RobotvilleEU Festival at the Science Museum, 1 – 4 December 2011, will be treated to an impressive 8 foot high Optimus Prime figure made from thousands of KRE-O building blocks.

RobotvilleEU Festival, sponsored by ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’, will celebrate the most cutting-edge in robot design and innovation. The event will explore the cultural significance of robots, with the Science Museum playing host to over 20 unique robots, many of which will be on show to the British public for the first time.

As well as having the chance to go up-close and personal with the giant Optimus Prime KRE-O figure, museum-goers will have the chance to get an exclusive insight into the highest grossing robot film of all time, ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’, as exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage will be screened around the Science Museum.

RobotvilleEU opens the Science Museum’s month long celebration of robots throughout December, consisting of talks with experts, robot workshops, Q&As with curators, art installations and multimedia and much more all the way up to the New Year.

KRE-O construction sets let building fans ages 6 and up to enjoy and create their favourite the Transformers characters. The 12 KRE-O Transformers construction sets feature popular Autobot and Decepticon characters from over 25 years. Each building set has “more than meets the eye” with two types of builds: deconstruct a robot to create a vehicle or disassemble the vehicle to build a robot.

The KRE-O Transformers collection features classic characters and includes a variety of offerings from basic sets to deluxe sets.

‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ is released on Blu-ray triple play and DVD on 28th November.
