What’s your favourite fairy tale and why do you like it? Con age 9
Can they make Kung Fu Panda a fairy tale?! I love that film. Po the Panda is a character who’s denied of his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu Master, but he goes after it anyways!
What castle do you like best and what do the rooms look like? Con age 9
In Kent there was a castle really close to the school where I studied traditional animation. The castle was located in the city centre and I would pass by it every day and it was a magnificent thing to see. If someone ever offered me a castle – I would definitely take that one! I would imagine the rooms look very cold, spacey and empty, but that just leaves a lot of room to be imaginative and do fun stuff with the space!
What kind of Knight would you be and what brave things would you do? Bex age 5
I would most like to be like Henri of Orange in My Knight and Me, if I was a Knight! I would try to do the things he does as he’s not exactly your typical Knight. Henri is just a lot of fun and would bring lots of fun and amusement to any medieval world.
If you became a Dragon – what colour would you be and what would you look like? Con age 9
Oh that’s a good one! I would be a chameleon, so I can change colours whenever I want and blend in and surprise a knight when he least expects it. This question has actually given me a great idea for a new story now!
What sort of crown would you like? Bex age 5
A big one, that would include a mini-fridge so I can just grab a drink when I’m thirsty and tired from ruling the country all day.
What do you think is the best joke you’ve ever written into the series? Con age 9
My all-time favourite joke is in the Attack of the 50ft Squire episode, where we had to come up with some 2D sketches about what Jimmy would look like as a big giant. There is one part where Jimmy walks in to a scene and squishes Bad Jack [a dragon that often terrorizes the Kingdom of Epic] and starts dribbling him as if it’s a basketball and then he shoots him off camera. Then you just see Jimmy waiting for a long time…and then you hear the basketball net swoosh and then an applause. I laughed so much during this scene.
