Kidzcoolit Exclusive – Evie-Leia, Con and Bex Talk to the PJ Masks!!!

If I got a mask – what training would I need to do to be in the PJ Masks? Evie-Leia age 6

Catboy – To have Super Cat Speed like me you need agility so you’ll need to do lots of skipping, jumping and leaping.

Owlette – To fly like me with my Super Owl Wings you need to be able to balance. Try standing on one leg without wobbling – hold your arms out like wings to keep steady!

Gekko – My Super Gekko Grip needs great hand-eye coordination. Playing throwing and catching is a great way to train to be a hero like me.

How did you meet PJ Robot and what’s the most useful thing PJ Robot does for you? Con age 10

Catboy – Romeo invented a cute miniature robot because he wanted to cause mayhem inside our HQ, but we got there just in time to stop him. In the end, Romeo’s little robot actually turned against him and decided to help us save the day instead!

Gekko – He’s our new PJ Mask! He’s great with machines and does an awesome robo-moon spin! We’ve even given him special PJ colours to make him a superhero, just like us!

Owlette – He’s got his own funny language and is learning very fast – he’s already been tinkering away with the Picture Player in the HQ. We know he’s going to be a great part of the PJ Masks team!

You have new powers – what are they and how did you get them? Con age 10

Catboy – Our new friend PJ Robot was updating the machines in the HQ and it released an energy from this amazing crystal which gave us our awesome new powers. Now, I’ve got Super Cat Stripes which unwind from my body like ropes, allowing me to lasso things!

Owlette – My new power is Super Owl Feathers which can fly from my wings and plant themselves in the ground to form a barrier between me and the night-time baddies! I can even individuals feathers from my wings like darts!

Gekko – My new Super Gekko Shields are super cool! They pop-up as defensive pads on my arms and legs which can deflect everything – they even bounced sticky splats back to Nigh Ninja! I can also use them like a surfboard for a quick getaway!

Who is the most annoying villain you have to deal with and why? Con age 10

Catboy – It must be Romeo, he’s always inventing new gadgets to take over the world. He made a tasty treat that turned Gekko’s pet lizard Lionel into a giant lizard-saurus who caused chaos in the city.

Owlette – For me, it’s Luna Girl and her moths who are always up to no good. Luna Girl captured the moon’s energy with her Luna magnet and zapped it into moonfizzle balls which made everyone in the city moonfizzled moon-worshippers, including me!

Gekko – During a scavenger hunt game, Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos threw heavy sticky splats everywhere which turned us into PJ statues. That was super annoying, but we saved the day!

Is it hard being a hero? Bex age 6

Catboy – It would be hard to be a hero by yourself but if you’re part of a team like the PJ Masks, then it’s awesome! Each of us has different strengths and weaknesses but working together we become one super team.

Gekko – Being a hero is simple, but it doesn’t happen overnight! It’s all about practice. We always stop the night-time villains because the PJ Masks never give up. We don’t let challenges or mistakes get in the way of saving the day!

Owlette – Our powers don’t always work how we want them to which can make it a tricky job. But part of what makes a real hero is being a great friend. Catboy & Gekko are always there to help and guide me!

Do you need super powers to be a hero? Bex age 6

Gekko – No way! Super powers are great but heroes have lots of skills. In a team you learn to be a good listener. As superheroes, listening to one another helps us communicate better about our plan to save the day!

Owlette – We use our powers of perception to look for evidence to find the night-time baddies and figure out what mayhem they want cause.

Catboy – Our super powers are awesome but if we don’t take the time to stop and think about what we need to do before we act, we can sometimes cause more chaos than the villains! We must have patience and think about a plan before rushing straight into the action.
