Parent View:
It was genuinely a very sad day when ‘The Wiggles’ announced they were to cease performing together at the end of this world tour.
Its very easy for adults to be dismissive around Kidz performers and the role they have in the entertainment market. Yes its true – for every ‘Wiggles’, there’s a new fresh performing group such as the ‘Go!Go!Go!’s’ waiting to take their place – but never forget the impact, time, dedication and love for Kidz these boys have given over an incredible 21 years. When you’ve needed 10 minutes to do the dishes ‘The Wiggles’ have been there. When you’ve had a poorly child looking for something to cheer them up on TV or DVD – ‘The Wiggles’ were the medicine. And when you’ve needed the perfect gift for a small child’s birthday – ‘The Wiggles’ came to the rescue.
No they’re not the Beatles, Take That, The Wanted or One Direction – but to a small child aged between 1 and 5 ‘The Beatles, Take That, The Wanted and One Direction have nothing on Greg, Murray, Jeff and Anthony – they are Kidz entertainment royalty.
This last show plays very well for the die hard fans and Kidz aged between 1 and 5 will have the time of there lives.
Kidzcoolit say farewell to ‘The Wiggles’ and thanks for entertaining and inspiring our Kidz for so long. Enjoy the rest boys – you deserve it!!!
